Indeed Bring Your Kids to Work Day

Halloween Case Study
Get In Touch

The Brief

Indeed approached us with an exciting challenge: to design and deliver an engaging and immersive Bring Your Kids to Work Day Halloween event that would delight families while remaining stylish and aligned with their contemporary global brand. The objective was to create an experience that felt magical and playful for children of all ages, yet polished and editorial in aesthetic steering clear of cliché Halloween tropes in favour of something elevated, design-led and thoughtfully curated.

The event needed to appeal equally to pre-schoolers, older children and, of course, their parents many of whom would be experiencing their workplace transformed into a child-friendly wonderland for the first time. Inclusivity, creativity and high production value were key priorities. Indeed wanted the event to reflect their culture: vibrant, people-focused, welcoming and forward-thinking. The brief called for immersive entertainment, interactive craft experiences, premium themed catering and thoughtful finishing touches, all delivered seamlessly within a corporate environment.

Ultimately, the goal was simple: create a Halloween celebration that felt contemporary, inclusive and unforgettable a day where families felt celebrated and children felt truly part of the Indeed community.

What We Did

We began by developing a strong visual identity for the event. Moving away from traditional dark and gothic Halloween palettes, we curated a stylish colour scheme of orange and white with striking purple accents. This provided a fresh, contemporary twist that felt clean, modern and brand-appropriate. The design approach was simple and refined, creating an almost editorial look think crisp balloon installations, sculptural pumpkin clusters, sleek table styling and carefully zoned activity areas. The overall aesthetic transformed the workplace into an immersive Halloween environment while maintaining the polished feel synonymous with Indeed’s brand identity.

Our diverse, young and energetic team of entertainers were central to delivering the brief. Each performer wore bespoke costumes designed to complement the orange, white and purple décor palette, ensuring a cohesive visual experience. More importantly, they were carefully selected for their warmth and inclusivity greeting every child by name where possible and ensuring each felt seen and welcomed. The entertainment programme was thoughtfully curated to cater for all age groups. A bespoke puppet show, written exclusively for the event, told a playful Halloween story with gentle humour and positive messaging. Imaginative themed party games kept energy levels high, while spooky (but not scary!) face painting and extraordinary balloon modelling gave children fabulous takeaways to remember the day.

What We Did

Creativity was at the heart of the experience. Our craft stations featured pumpkin carving and a hugely popular ‘Make Your Own Monster’ mason jar activity, complete with vibrant materials and LED tealights for a magical glow. We loved seeing not only children but competitive parents fully immersed in the crafting spirit. For our younger guests, we installed a safe and colourful soft-play area where pre-schoolers could romp freely though we quickly discovered older siblings were equally keen to join in the fun. The space was designed to feel open and accessible while maintaining clear structure and flow throughout the venue.

To ensure there was something for everyone, we introduced a Halloween Olympics, a sports day-style series of playful challenges that encouraged teamwork between siblings and even some brave parents. The atmosphere was electric, filled with laughter and friendly competition. Complementing the activities was a beautifully styled catering offering: savoury platters for balanced grazing alongside whimsical sweet treats such as monster face pop cakes. Every detail, from signage to serving displays, followed the editorial design brief. The result was an event that felt immersive yet sophisticated a perfect balance of family fun and brand-aligned style.
