Santa’s Grotto At The Queens House
We were tasked by Royal Museum’s Greenwich to deliver the theming for a fully immersive Christmas Grotto experience within the iconic Queen’s House. We also designed and made the costumes for Complete Works who provided a beautiful story and actors for this experience. This was an exciting project in line with expertise as premium Christmas Grotto service providers suitable for high-profile visitor attractions.
We designed a carefully curated journey that unfolded across the grand rooms, using sympathetic set design, prop styling, and bespoke lighting to enhance rather than compete with the architecture. All installations were developed in line with conservation regulations, ensuring no fixings or finishes compromised the historic interiors. The result was a balanced spectacle with sensitivity, delivering a memorable, high-quality Christmas attraction that elevated the visitor experience while aligning with the standards expected of a heritage site.
Lapland Grotto Experience
Journey through an immersive Lapland Grotto experience where families are transported to a magical Elf Village nestled deep within a snowy woodland. Designed specifically for premium grotto hire, this enchanting setting features playful Scandinavian-style Lapland cottages surrounded by frosted trees, rustic timber fencing and softly glowing lantern light, while above the village, breathtaking Northern Lights lighting effects shimmer across the sky.
As families queue to meet Santa in his beautifully crafted Scandic-style grotto, the journey becomes part of the experience. Children are invited to take part in interactive reindeer games such as antler hoopla, bringing playful energy to the space while keeping queues fully engaged. Inside the Elf Village workshops, young visitors can make toys with the traditional toymaker, decorate festive cookies alongside the village baker, and help sort Christmas letters in Santa’s busy sorting office.
At the heart of the winter landscape sits Santa’s authentic Lapland grotto, styled with natural textures, warm firelight tones and handcrafted details that reflect a true Nordic Christmas aesthetic. Winter Wonderland Grotto
Step into Winterland, a fantastical twist on Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland reimagined as an immersive Christmas grotto journey. Ideal for grotto hire in shopping centres and visitor attractions, this theatrical experience invites families to travel “down the rabbit hole” and into a whimsical winter forest filled with giant toadstools and snow-dusted pathways. The environment is bathed in beautiful blue neon lighting, giving the entire set a magical, contemporary glow that stands out in large public venues and draws footfall from afar. Families will encounter familiar characters including Alice, the Mad Hatter and Cheshire Cat, creating live interaction, storytelling moments and memorable photo opportunities before reaching the grotto.
At the entrance to Santa’s palace, the ever-flustered White Rabbit manages the meet and greet, welcoming families into a spectacular white winter grotto kindly “lent” to Santa by the formidable Queen of Hearts for the season. Santa’s grotto itself is styled as a glowing winter palace, shimmering in cool whites and icy blues beneath the neon-lit canopy. This very unique, theatrical grotto hire concept is designed to increase dwell time, audience engagement and social sharing, making it ideal for shopping centres and attractions seeking a standout festive centrepiece that feels immersive, story-led and visually unforgettable.
Christmas Town Grotto Hire
At the heart of magical Christmas Town, the air is rich with the comforting scent of cinnamon and fresh pine, as a gentle dusting of snow settles across glittering rooftops and frosted pathways. Cheerful elves, dressed in vibrant festive costumes, are on urgent business as they hurry between Santa’s Town Hall, the Gingerbread Railway Station and the busy Christmas Post Office, their laughter and chatter filling the air as they prepare for the most important night of the year.
Children can help elves expertly wrap presents in beautifully adorned workshops, and decorate batches of delicious Gingerbread in cosy kitchens, or decorate the spectacular Christmas tree outside Santa’s Christmas Grotto. From Santa’s Town Hall Grotto twinkling lights are strung from rooftop to rooftop, casting a warm golden glow that transforms the entire space into a captivating festive wonderland. Santa’s Toy Workshop
Step into the heart of festive magic with Santa’s Toy Workshop, a deluxe Christmas Grotto we proudly designed for Winter Wonderland, Hyde Park. This beautifully immersive activation transforms into a bustling hub of seasonal cheer, where Toy Maker Elves are hard at work making every Christmas wish come true. Children are invited to don charming Elf hats and become part of the action as they explore Santa’s traditional Toy Workshop bursting with oversized toys, shimmering ribbons, colourful wrapping paper, and twinkling festive décor. Every corner is designed for discovery, sparking wonder and encouraging photo-worthy moments that drive social sharing and engagement.
The experience is brought to life with a fully themed toy-making game, led by the charismatic Head Toy Maker Elf ideal for hands-on interaction and memory-making. At the heart of the grotto, Santa himself awaits in his cosy, richly decorated office, complete with a stained-glass window and a magical gift slide that delivers a personalised takeaway treat for every child.

Santa’s North Pole Grotto
Step into a winter wonderland at the North Pole-themed Grotto, perfect as an enchanting retail pop-up experience for the whole family.
Begin your magical journey by boarding the Polar Express, a festive train ride that whisks you away through snowy landscapes and twinkling lights, creating a sense of wonder and excitement. As the train gently pulls into the North Pole station, families are greeted by cheerful elves and the sounds of carols filling the crisp winter air. Follow the candy cane trail through a whimsical forest of snow-dusted fir trees and glowing lanterns until you arrive at Santa’s cozy Log Cabin. Inside, the warm glow of the fire and the scent of cinnamon create the perfect festive atmosphere. On certain days Santa likes to head out Ice Fishing, but he is always back in time to meet the children and share in their Christmas wishes and give out a special gift to remember the day they travelled to the North Pole.

Mrs Claus Gingerbread Kitchen
Step into Mrs. Claus’s Magical Christmas Kitchen, a heartwarming retail pop-up experience designed to delight families and drive festive engagement. Perfect as a standalone attraction or as part of a larger Christmas event, this immersive activation invites guests into the cosy, cookie-scented world of Mrs. Claus, where holiday magic is baked into every moment.
Children can slip on festive aprons and join the kitchen crew as they help decorate gingerbread, stir sparkling cookie mix, and explore jars of magical ingredients lining the shelves. Mrs. Claus and her team of friendly Kitchen Elves guide the experience, sharing stories from the North Pole while encouraging creativity and hands-on fun. Richly themed with candy-cane pillars, glowing gumdrop lights, and the warm glow of a crackling oven, the kitchen offers a picture-perfect backdrop for seasonal photo ops and social sharing.

Christmas Grotto Railway
Introducing The Christmas Grotto Railway, a one-of-a-kind Christmas experience designed for long concourses in shopping centres. This unique retail activation invites families to hop aboard a charming miniature railway that winds through a whimsical Elf Village before arriving at Santa’s opulent Grotto. The journey begins as children and parents board the festive train, adorned with twinkling lights and cozy touches. As the train chugs along the track, passengers pass through the magical Elf Village, where busy elves work in their festive workshops, decorating toys and preparing gifts. The village is brought to life with animated scenes, holiday music, and interactive displays that engage visitors as they ride.
At the end of the journey, passengers arrive at Santa’s grand Grotto, a luxurious, warm space filled with sparkling decorations, oversized presents, and a crackling fireplace. Here, families can meet Santa in a beautifully themed setting, take photos, and receive special Christmas gifts. The Christmas Grotto Railway is the perfect way to transform a long shopping concourse into a captivating, immersive destination bringing families together and creating unforgettable holiday memories while driving retail traffic and engagement.
Santa’s Grotto At The National Gallery
In 2020, Father Christmas made a very special appearance at the National Gallery, bringing festive magic to one of London’s most iconic cultural landmarks. Our design team created a unique Christmas Grotto experience, reflecting the elegance and heritage of this national treasure. Visitors stepped into a painter’s winter wonderland inspired by Hendrick Avercamp’s iconic painting “A Winter Scene with Skaters near a Castle” (c. 1608–9). Snowy landscapes, twinkling lights, and the cheerful bustle of Santa’s elves created an immersive festive environment.
Children and their families could meet Santa Claus in person, share their Christmas wishes, and enjoy a magical holiday experience that combined art, history, and seasonal charm. Although London’s Tier 4 restrictions required the Grotto to close early in 2020, we returned in 2021 with another enchanting Christmas Grotto at the National Gallery, delighting families across the city. In 2022, we expanded the festive offering by producing a bespoke Christmas stage show ‘A Picture-Perfect Christmas’, featuring interactive performances, songs and storytelling that brought the magic of the holidays to life. The National Gallery Grotto and stage show highlight our expertise in creating bespoke Christmas events, family-friendly holiday experiences, and immersive festive entertainment in landmark London venues.

Our designers and seamstresses work tirelessly to craft sparkling costumes, from Santa’s iconic red suit to whimsical elf outfits and twinkling fairy wings, each piece adding to the festive atmosphere.
