The Brief – Children’s Garden Party
A longstanding private client challenged us with the brief to create a fully immersive site-specific children’s party our event team worked together to create and produce a fully immersive Peter Pan party. The set needed to sit within her incredible landscaped garden with the entertainment encouraging the children to enjoy and explore the natural beauty of the setting.
The children would be mainly age 5-6 years with the addition of a few younger and older friends and siblings. Adults would also be invited to watch any shows and this should be thought about when writing the theatrical content.
What We Did
This fantastic fairy tale theme paired with the dramatic backdrop of foliage and flowers were the perfect combination to create a truly magical party. In such a vast space it was essential we create a focal point for both the design and entertainment, so we proposed a fully dressed pirate ship as our main stage.
The entertainment programme took the structure of a treasure hunt around the garden where the goodies challenged the baddies in a mission to seek out and complete the hidden games. An interactive family pantomime style show brought all the guests together in a celebratory finale that included our birthday boy taking to the ship in a spotlight moment where he defeated Captain Hook.
Highlights
Guests were immediately immersed into our fairy tale world as Tinkerbelle and Peter Pan met the children at the gates and invited them to join them, on a Neverland adventure.
The discovery of our stunning ship hidden away in the depths of the garden was a fantastic moment for children and adults alike.
Each child was given a bespoke Pirate map which was beautifully illustrated by our designer to incorporate elements from the story laid out in the client’s magical garden setting.
The balance of slapstick fun and fairy magic worked perfectly to engage and entertain the children.
The finished product was an epic party with a personal touch.
