The Brief
Our client invited us to create an engaging and entertaining escape room activity for adults that would form part of a post-seminar drinks reception.
It was desired that the activity should encourage teamwork and enable socializing between colleagues across the different departments, have an element of surprise and fun and be actor facilitated.
What We Did
As the event was to form part of a drink’s reception after a busy day of seminars we didn’t want an activity that would last too long or that would detract from the networking element of the evening. We created four highly themed immersive spaces that became four unique Escape the Room game zones that should be completed in 25 minutes. We split the guests into small groups of 6 – 8 and throughout the drink’s reception invited these groups to meet a mystery host at a particular door and take on the challenge.
Together each team was invited to solve a series of puzzles, find the all-important clues and manipulate mysterious artefacts and technology to make their escape. Effective communication, time management and group dynamics were put to the test.

Highlights
This event was proof that adults love to play as much as kids! From putting on costume pieces to playing detective there was definitely a lot of fun had.
Guests really got into the spirit of things with different personalities stepping up to take on different roles to collectively solve the crimes.
We were delighted to see that you could still create an immersive, engaging escape the room activity even with the reduced time of 25 minutes.
Later in the evening guests were invited to explore the other rooms and immerse themselves in different times and places while trying out elements of the different puzzle threads. The reactions as the characters and rooms were unveiled was a real treat. Case solved; mission complete!
