The Brief
With Christmas being one of our super strengths we challenged by a repeat client to design a corporate children’s event theme, that was fresh and exciting and yet not to unconventional. The Client still wanted it to feel very much like Christmas.
What We Did
We came up with the Gingerbread Village to keep a traditional feel yet delivered in a colourful comic book style. The design centred around a village square surrounded by gingerbread elf houses created in colours of rich gingerbread brown, red and green topped with plump pillows of sparkling snow. The theming could be expanded by adding different activity areas of the village: Mrs Christmas’s Bakery, The Christmas Post Boxes, Present Stacking, Face Painting and of course Santa’s Grotto. To link the gingerbread village to Santa and Christmas we developed a short story that was presented in a giant book at the entrance of the party to set the scene and invite the children on a journey of Christmas magic and discovery.
An edible craft of gingerbread decorating with Mrs Claus herself added another level of fun and magic, as the children become the bakers and are rewarded with Christmas secrets. A brand new show called Rudolph and the XMAS Factor created a wow factor finale filled with festive frolics.
Highlights
This theme really came to life and captured the magic of Christmas for guests of all ages.
The children really enjoyed seeking out the secrets of the Mrs Christmas’s gingerbread and then making their own to nibble as they made their way around the activities.
The cast of characters: Candy and Cane the Elves, Twinkle Toes the Fairy and Rudolf the Reindeer were the perfect hosts for this new winter wonderland world.
The Xmas factor show added an element of contemporary fun
