Immersive Murder Mystery Party

The Brief

We had the exciting opportunity to design an immersive murder mystery experience for a corporate team-building event. The objective was to create a dynamic, engaging experience that would challenge participants, foster collaboration, and sharpen problem-solving skills, all while maintaining a light-hearted yet thrilling atmosphere.

The brief was to craft a mystery with enough complexity to keep professionals on their toes, ensuring it was intellectually stimulating, while also fostering a fun and engaging environment for the entire team. The event featured multiple pop-up rooms, each revealing clues and building suspense, with a unique, foreboding interrogation chamber added at the client’s special request. This interactive, puzzle-filled experience encouraged teamwork, strategic thinking, and communication, making it the perfect setting for corporate bonding.

What We Did

We put our problem-solving minds to the test and drew inspiration from the most iconic mystery games to create an unforgettable live-action murder mystery experience for the corporate team-building event. With a sense of fun and intrigue, we aimed to keep everyone on their toes, making participants feel like they were stepping into a board game brought to life.

We crafted a rich, detailed backstory and introduced a cast of colourful, theatrical characters, each with their own complex and often perplexing alibis. Our goal was to keep the mystery gripping and immersive, offering a puzzle-filled challenge that required collaboration and sharp thinking.

The event unfolded within an intricately designed setting, with layers of hidden details waiting to be discovered. Each area was themed around our suspects, meticulously created by our talented team of designers and makers, who work across film and television—so it truly felt like being part of a real-life crime scene.

The experience was divided into a series of engaging tasks and challenges, from ciphers to riddles, designed to push teams to think creatively and work together. The event culminated in a thrilling interrogation, where participants questioned the suspects—both actors and colleagues—before the true criminal was revealed. The question was, who will uncover the truth? Well, you’ll just have to experience it to find out.

Highlights



The theme gave us great scope for immersive set design, with much detail given to storyline specific props. This made for a visually impactful set up.



Our Boo team of comedians and actors had to improvise greatly throughout the event keeping the action fresh and exciting.



We used a theatrical hot seat device allowing guests to interrogate potential suspects, which was greatly enjoyed by both senior and junior staff members.



Guests left buzzing with excitement, chatting about ways to create their own mysteries to try out on colleagues and friends.
