Corporate Summer Party

Regents Event’s York Lawns fit the bill perfectly for our venue, nestled within five acres of lush, foliage filled private gardens within London’s iconic Regent’s Park. Accommodating up to 2,000 guests the event space was ideal to put our client and their guest’s minds at ease, and as such we hit a high attendance rate.

The centre point of the start of the event was a set of three long tables and benches, set out in the style of a post-war street party. The tables were dressed in pretty lacy cloths, teapots and teacups, filled with vintage floral arrangements. A bar served old fashioned cocktails for the drink’s reception, as guests gathered around the tables.

A bespoke, ornate black and gold bandstand was built as a stage for the live musicians, set inside the venue’s marquee. A fabulous 1940’s four-piece band took to the stage in between a DJ, playing retro swing music that got guests dancing.

Vintage decorations included swags of retro bunting, colourful lanterns and a pair of giant striped sun deck chairs. Clusters of parasols covered seating along with picnic areas dressed with rugs, blankets and cushions were then spread out across the gardens and lawns, for guests to explore as the event progressed.

A roving acoustic band entertained guests across the event space, playing contemporary songs on the French Horn, clarinet and guitar, that had everyone singing along in an afternoon of impromptu karaoke!
A cluster of wooden art easels and canvasses were set up in a circle on the grass, around a tower of vintage still life props, as a part of our art activity sessions, led by our bohemian artist in residence, poise on his stylish chaise lounge.

On the bottom lawns the guests discovered traditional garden games including bowls, corn hole, badminton, crocket and giant garden chess for guests to enjoy as they partied. A board games area was created with wooden garden seating, including card game and snakes and ladders.

Traditional tea party buffet tables were laid out with scones, cakes and strawberries and cream. Cheese and grapes were on offer set amongst baskets of lavender and English garden flowers.

The event was a roaring success overall and we were blessed with amazing sunshine throughout the day, so guests were able to enjoy exploring the full grounds across the York Lawns. Our client was ecstatic and felt it was her favourite event to date!
