Blank Street ‘The Sleeve’ Case Study

London Fashion Week 2026
Get In Touch

The Brief

Blank Street partnered with Boo Productions to deliver a standout brand activation celebrating the launch of The Sleeve a new accessory designed to keep your drink “snug and stylish anytime, any temp” during London Fashion Week 2026. The objective was to create a highly shareable experiential marketing campaign that would capture the attention of fashion-conscious consumers, influencers, creatives, and London’s growing matcha community, driving both social engagement and footfall.

The activation spanned two high-profile touchpoints: an exclusive influencer breakfast and a striking retail takeover at Blank Street’s 180 The Strand location, placing the new product at the heart of one of the world’s most influential fashion events. Inspired by the product’s signature quilted “puffer” aesthetic, the brief challenged us to transform this distinctive design language into an immersive large-scale installation that blurred the lines between retail, fashion, and brand experience. The ambition was to create a playful, tactile environment that stopped people in their tracks, encouraged content creation, and made The Sleeve instantly recognisable both on the street and across social media.

With complete creative freedom, we explored bold concepts that reimagined the familiar Blank Street experience, delivering an eye-catching activation that felt unexpected, memorable, and perfectly aligned with the energy of London Fashion Week.

What We Did

Working closely with the Blank Street team, we explored a range of creative directions before developing a concept that transformed the product’s signature puffer sleeve into an immersive retail environment. Inspired by its distinctive curves, softness, and tactile finish, we scaled the design into bold architectural set pieces that commanded attention both inside the café and from the street.

The project was delivered through close collaboration across Boo Productions’ in-house teams. Our carpentry department built the structural framework, while our costume and scenic specialists upholstered each element, carefully stitching and padding every surface to recreate the sleeve’s iconic quilted aesthetic. Extensive prototyping ensured the perfect balance of softness, structure, and durability throughout the installation. The finished activation featured oversized puffer walls with integrated product shelving, sculptural window displays, upholstered seating, custom storefront graphics inspired by the sleeve’s woven label, and a statement puffer-edged mirror designed to encourage social sharing and influencer content throughout London Fashion Week.

Crafting the Experience

Bringing the concept to life demanded a meticulous approach to design, fabrication and installation. Every element was developed in-house, with our teams testing and refining multiple construction techniques to recreate The Sleeve’s distinctive inflated profile at an architectural scale. The challenge was to preserve the product’s soft, tactile character while engineering each piece to withstand a busy retail environment without compromising on finish.

Our costume and scenic specialists carefully stitched, upholstered, and padded every surface, perfecting the quilted detailing to create a premium, fashion-inspired aesthetic. Thoughtfully integrated lighting elevated the installation further, drawing attention to the new product and adding depth, warmth, and texture throughout the space. Working to an overnight programme between trading hours, our installation team completely transformed the Blank Street store despite tight deadlines and unpredictable London weather. Oversized puffer panels, interior displays, branded graphics, and merchandising were seamlessly installed and styled ahead of launch, ensuring every detail was in place before the doors opened. By morning, the café had been reimagined as an immersive brand experience that captured the energy of London Fashion Week and invited customers to step inside, explore, and share the moment.
